La Fonda El Taquito is privately owned by Agustin Medina and his wife Teresa. The
Medina family started the business in 1979. Originally located at 17th Street and
Summit, they had a counter of 8 chairs and a tortilla machine in the back. Thirty
years later, La Fonda seats 100 satisfied customers for lunch and dinner, with a
full bar and a tortilla factory in the kitchen.
